The Blast "Edge" U13 team has made it to the MYSA State Tournament!  After beating a strong St. Croix team, then knocking off league winner, Woodbury, the Blast completed the triple-play by beating the second place MTA team 1-0 in a State Qualifier.

"We just kept improving through league and worked very hard the past few weeks to prepare for a strong finish," said coach Joe Tomas.  "We could not be more proud of their efforts.  We know how motivated they are to keep working hard at State."

The Blast "Edge" team finished with a 6-5-1 league record, putting them middle of the pack in the U13 C1 East.  With an 2-3-1 second half, the team was up for some changes to give them more dimension.  Between some formation and training adjustments, the team refocused to prepare for the strong finish.

"It was impressive to see these players commit to improving and preparing to be at their best down the stretch," said Director of Coaching and Player Development, John Michaelson.  "I've not seen such energy after what can feel like a long season.  Clearly, their dedication is paying off." Michaelson added.

The Blast "Edge" found a way to get past all their league foes and make it into the State Tournament in the clubs first year in MYSA.  An impressive feat from an impressive young group of quality soccer players.

The 2016 State Tournament for U11 - U13's will be held in Shakopee starting on July 19th.  Best of luck team!
